Island Crest Builders embarked on a journey of sustainability and innovative design with this project. Initially approached as a remodel, we discovered the solid foundation and structure of the original house. We decided to take a more environmentally conscious approach by building the new house on top of the old one, utilizing the existing foundation and saving money and resources.
Collaborating with First Lamp Architects, we created a two-story modern masterpiece in Seattle’s Matthews Beach community. Sustainability takes center stage in the Sandpoint Project, with carefully selected eco-friendly materials, including bamboo flooring, wool carpets, and recycled content tiles. This thoughtfully designed residence offers functional living spaces, four bedrooms, three and a half baths, and a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.
Completed in 2015, the house is a testament to our dedication to sustainable building practices and cutting-edge design.
